Our mandate is global, and also unconstrained in terms of asset class and industry.
Our experienced, in-house investment team, combined with our hyper-aligned Sponsor Partners, enable UGG to source far more opportunities than our industry counterparts. This allows UGG to be selective in identifying a highly diversified number of opportunities designed to offer optimal risk/reward, where our investors (and UGG's own permanent capital base, which is co-invested alongside our clients) receive adequate compensation with a downside protection.
We have an independent team dedicated to each transaction for surveillance, risk assessment, valuation, and relationship management. We provide direct lending to small and middle market businesses to support acquisitions, recapitalizations, and growth financing. We specialize in providing acquisition capital to lower middle market companies operating within various segments of the resources sector. We engage in commercial finance by lending against or purchasing contractually regulated streams of cash flows. We seek opportunistic commercial mortgage lending and secondary market purchases of loans that are secured by transitional and other types of niche properties. We focus on investment opportunities in private companies across the capital structure.
UGG makes GP investments for Fund of Funds, Fund loans and advances against fee streams to Private Equity, Credit Funds and other investment strategies which are non-dilutive solutions for situations that would otherwise require equity.
